Vernal launches Community Wellbeing Survey in partnership with Utah State University

Communications Coordinator Katie Flaniken presented Vernal’s participation in the Utah Wellbeing Project survey, noting the survey "began March 1 and will run through March 23, with the goal of gathering feedback from residents about their experiences living in the community." Flaniken said the 2024 survey collected nearly 500 responses and identified underrepresented groups—adult males, renters, individuals without college degrees, and unmarried residents—that staff hope to better reach in 2026.
City staff will promote the survey through social media, local media, radio, outreach to organizations and employers, and QR-code flyers. City Manager Quinn Bennion emphasized the value of the statewide project’s design and Utah State University’s analysis to help Vernal understand resident perceptions and priorities.
