Neighbors press the township and applicant on stormwater, prior parking agreements and notification

Multiple neighbors addressed the committee during public comment, raising three recurring concerns: whether past agreements providing off-site parking remain in force, whether the township was notified when off-site parking became unavailable, and whether the applicant's stormwater plans will prevent increased runoff to nearby streets.

One commenter said, "In that agreement, there was parking that would be available at the McDevitt's site," and questioned whether the township had been informed if that parking was no longer available. Neighbors repeatedly described visible stormwater flow on Royal Avenue and cast doubt on assurances that underground storage will correct the issue.

Applicant representatives said they would produce additional stormwater surveys and implement an underground basin connected to the storm main to avoid outflow to the street. Carrie Harbin, a school representative, said the school had notified immediate neighbors and hosted meetings in January and later site walks with design staff.

Neighbors also asked for clearer visualizations (side elevations and perimeter renderings), dedicated bus parking options, and written responses to neighborhood concerns before the committee acts. Commissioners asked the applicant to document outreach and confirm any prior off-site-parking arrangements for verification during the follow-up session.
