Chair Tricia Braxton and legislative liaison Amelia Thiebaud presented a public-facing 'legislative briefing document' designed to summarize the board's authority and priorities for legislators and stakeholders. The document links the board's priorities to the Department's five priorities and enumerates statutes and communications and engagement options for the legislative session.
Member Braxton and staff said the product is foundational and should be followed by an analysis tool and an engagement strategy; the board approved the document with conforming edits to reflect the new pathway language and directed the subcommittee to proceed with the rubric and outreach planning.
