Board members voted to expand and reframe the Career and Technical Education (CTE) expansion goal as 'Pathway expansion' to cover a wider set of postsecondary and workforce pathways. Member Ford formally moved to rename the category; Member Braxton seconded and the motion "passes unanimously."
Members urged including arts and nontraditional pathways, suggested using the CCR diploma or multiple submetrics instead of a single aggregate percentage, and emphasized access and quality rather than raw enrollment. Superintendent Wakefield noted some districts already track CCR and advanced diplomas and encouraged measuring outcomes as well as participation.
