The Board discussed Policy 1510, which covers videoconferencing for board meetings. Superintendent Pacatte noted that the district began broadcasting meetings during the COVID period and that current policy language is sparse; staff will investigate requirements and return proposed revisions at the next meeting.
Pacatte and District Clerk Jen VanRy also updated the Board on the Policy Manual Committee’s work. The committee will meet Jan. 29 from 2–4 p.m. to discuss policies related to principals; Board member Jim Colt will serve as the BOE representative. The committee is gathering input from legal counsel and other experts as it finalizes previously reviewed policies.
