Avon Board raises substitute pay; retired rates increased

The motion lists specific rates: "Certified: $150 (per day); Uncertified: $125 (per day); Uncertified (20+ consecutive days to cover a specific assignment): $150 (per day); Retired: $165 (per day); Retired (20+ consecutive days to cover a specific assignment): $225 (per day); Substitute Teaching Assistant: $125 (per day); Substitute Registered Nurse: $150 (per day)." Board members approved the scale to better align pay with recruitment and retention needs for the district.
