Middle School Principal Jenn Miller led the Board through a demonstration of the Mood Meter portion of the RULER Social Emotional Learning (SEL) program and described how the program supports student self‑awareness and relationships. Kerri Levine explained partnerships with Care Solace and CASA Trinity that connect students and families with mental‑health resources beyond the district’s capacity.
Pacatte reported that the RULER program was chosen for a GVSBA Excellence in Student Services award to be presented at the upcoming legislative breakfast. Jenn Miller and a student, Callum Pollok, participated in the presentation; Miller guided the board through a short Mood Meter exercise to illustrate how students identify and discuss emotions as part of SEL instruction.
