Superintendent Ryan Pacatte updated the board on personnel coverage, school safety planning, state audit activity and capital project progress. He said a recently departed science teacher’s courses were covered by current staff and that exit interviews indicate many departures are related to location and commute. He also reported administrators reviewed spectator expectations after a soccer-game conduct issue.
Pacatte said he met with Mayor Hayes and acting Chief Ferrara regarding school resource officer planning and training opportunities. He reported that a draft state audit report was received and that the district is preparing a corrective action plan. Capital Project Phase 2 design approvals have been returned from the state and bids will be issued soon. The minutes do not supply dollar amounts or a timeline for bids.
