Campus Construction representatives told the Avon Central School Board on Oct. 30 that the Phase 2 bid opening attracted 19 bidders and recommended the board meet to award contracts. "It was a successful bid opening for Phase 2 with 19 bidders," said Ryan Dempsey of Campus Construction. The board scheduled a special meeting for Nov. 7, 2024 at 7:00 a.m. in the Business Office conference room to award the bid contracts.
In a construction update, Campus Construction reported that drywall is being installed in the District Office, mechanical systems were being finished in the high school office, and the high school entrance structure is complete. The firm said skirting and site work will begin next. The board did not take a vote on awards at the Oct. 30 regular meeting; the Nov. 7 special meeting will be devoted to contract awards and requires formal action.
