The Avon Central School Board voted to approve the consent agenda on Sept. 16, confirming minutes from Aug. 26 and an array of personnel actions. The motion, moved by Beth Peck and seconded by Steve Comeau, included resignations (Lorrie McLaughlin, JoAnna Lamprecht), a family leave request from Kristen Donlon effective about Dec. 13, 2024 through June 30, 2025, and appointments including Kylene Kurtz as a teacher aide (effective 9/12/24) and a provisional appointment of Kaitlyn Dyrbala as a clerk/typist (effective 9/23/24). The vote was 4 Ayes, 0 Nays, 1 Absent (Jim Colt).
The board also approved substitute appointments—Carrie Davies, Kylene Kurtz, Jordan Mullen, Kara Bartholomew and Kevin Pawlowski—and named Marisa Rumfola as 11th grade class advisor and Erik Schneider as football modified coach for fall 2024. The minutes list effective dates for certain appointments and note that these personnel actions were taken upon the superintendent’s recommendation.
