County updates Ward Farm CROP budget, construction continues after snow delays

Parks staff said the multi‑year project estimate is $17,157,424 and noted that $11,422,653 was requested in state contributions; BA adjustments were presented to reflect the FY2026 award and the state‑reported remaining balance.
Parks staff also provided a construction update following the recent snow event, reporting that geotextile fabric and rebar were in place and footers had passed compaction testing; crews were working to clear access so contractors can resume. Amanda Stilweg, park and safety division chief, told the board the budget adjustments should fund the early‑voting/community resources building and a large portion of the maintenance facility, and said the county will proactively replace an aging well to support future park growth: "This budget adjustment will definitely cover the cost of the early voting slash community resources building, and we hope that it will fund a large portion of the next item on our list, which will be the maintenance facility."
