Chief Copeland reported a bundle of routine maintenance and winter-preparedness tasks: the village maintenance barn has been painted to match the other barn, crews restocked stone, crushed gravel and sand, and approximately 150 tons of road salt are on hand with 100 tons on standby.
He also said crews repaired a large pothole on South Main Street and several minor potholes on Fourth Street, Fed Excavating completed the final catch basin on Lytle Road, catch basins were cleaned with the hydro-vac, leaf collection is on schedule, and plow trucks are prepared for winter weather.
