Dr. Cole Bell described the plan: "We only have this year and next year to do so and there's a 150,000 for just our 9 through 12 students at our schools." The funds are split into $75,000 for A–G access (counseling, tutoring and staff training) and $75,000 for credit recovery; staff noted a 0.2 FTE position was funded to support credit recovery work. Board members asked about classification of the A–G categories and confirmed that the money will be used for increased counseling access, credit recovery, independent study support and summer school as outlined.
The motion to approve the plan passed by voice vote. Staff said other funds are available for certain uses and that the approved plan represents one way to target the remaining grant dollars.
