Council discusses Trailhead drainage, aims to open restroom for 5K

Council members and staff spent a substantial portion of the meeting on problems at the Trailhead, where persistent puddles and muddy areas are impeding use. A committee member said contractors’ work to install power may have altered drainage paths: "I went up there last last week and this week, and, you know, the puddle was over the whole road," a staff member said during the discussion.
Members agreed to schedule a preconstruction meeting to discuss community crossing projects and to locate and repair the damaged drain. The committee discussed short-term fixes — adding grass seed, straw or dirt — and longer-term locating work before winter. The Chair confirmed the council would try to have the Trailhead restroom open, with keys and staffing plans, in time for the planned 5K event.
