Vernon County’s WIC program received board approval for its final 2025 budget resolution at the Sept. 17 meeting. The motion to approve the WIC budget resolution was made by Lonnie Muller and seconded by Martha Olson; the motion carried with all ayes. The board also recorded that the WIC First Right of Refusal was signed, confirming Vernon County WIC will be in service for the next five‑year period (2026–2030).
Health Officer Amy Kleiber told the board that upcoming changes to Medicaid and FoodShare make it important for WIC participants to keep contact information current so program participants remain compliant with benefit requirements.
