Vernon County Board of Health approves policies, budget items and mobile-unit materials

The Vernon County Board of Health voted unanimously Aug. 13 to adopt several procedural policies and resource materials, including a new Medical Advisor Policy and a Vaccine Policy.
Chair David Eggen moved to approve the Medical Advisor Policy and Lonnie Muller seconded; the board recorded the motion as carried. Martha Olson moved to accept the Vaccine Policy, seconded by Frank Easterday, with the board again voting 'All ayes.' The board also approved an updated mobile license application and a newly created Mobile Unit Resource Guide aimed at assisting food establishments, each by unanimous vote.
The meeting included formal approval of the WIC final 2025 Budget Resolution after a staff report on program funding and FMNP operations. Martha Olson moved to approve the WIC budget resolution, seconded by Frank Easterday; the motion carried.
The board recorded no roll-call breakdown beyond unanimous 'All ayes' votes on these items. The next regular meeting was set for Sept. 17, 2025, at 1 p.m.
