City planning staff presented a site plan for United Glass & Mirror to construct a roughly 22,000-square-foot, single-story manufacturing and distribution building at 1141 Avenue J East. Staff said the project meets density, dimensional and landscaping requirements and that the development review committee recommends approval with a condition that mitigation credits used in phase one not be double-counted for future phases.
Councilmember Clemson moved approval with staff recommendations; Council approved the site plan 7–1 with one council member dissenting. Staff noted conditions about tree mitigation credits and that the project met parking and landscape standards required for light industrial zoning.
