Council hears street maintenance updates; asks staff to notify residents about new ATV laws

Council Member David Larson updated the council on street repair and upkeep July 7. He said improvements are being assessed for certain blocks and that repurposed asphalt is being considered for problem areas. He mentioned availability of a brush hog from Andrew Anderson for review, noted that some road shoulders need grading, and flagged a significant amount of loose gravel at the 100 South and 100 East intersection and at other intersections.
Larson also said information about new state laws regulating ATVs and side-by-sides should be sent to residents to educate them on proper use. No formal direction or funding decision was recorded in the minutes; these items were reported as maintenance needs and outreach recommendations.
