Kevin Steely of Terra Site Development presented plans at the June 3 work session for a major expansion at the south end of town at Wesleyan Camp, owned by the Indiana South Wesleyan District. The proposal calls for a new 40-site RV campground with sewer, water and electricity to each site and several other enhancements to the existing camp facilities.
Steely said camp leaders have agreed to voluntarily annex both the present campground and the proposed RV park into the town as part of the larger project; Orleans will provide water service to the new addition. The proposal is at an early stage and will require zoning, permitting and utility arrangements before construction begins.
