Sheffield board hires Bock Inc for daily water and wastewater operations

The Village of Sheffield voted unanimously July 8 to end the one-day-per-week operator contract and hire Bock Inc Services to provide a daily on-site water and wastewater operator.
Ryan Bockewitz of Bock Inc outlined a proposal for daily operator coverage at the plant. After discussing current arrangements — TEST Inc.’s one-day-per-week presence and quotes from ION Environmental Solutions for one- or two-day visits — Trustee Adams moved and Trustee Price seconded a motion to discontinue TEST Inc. and execute a contract with Bock Inc "effective as soon as possible." The motion passed on a 5-0 roll call.
Trustees said the change was prompted by the board’s desire for more regular oversight of the Village system. The vote record shows Adams, Barry, Corwin, Price and Taylor all voted in favor. The board did not include financial terms of the Bock Inc contract in the meeting minutes.
