Board approves 5K and car show for Sheffield Summer Festival, funds band fees

President Mary Lanham presented two event applications tied to the Sheffield Summer Festival. The board approved the Strides for Strength 5K to be held June 28, 2025.
For the August 3 Car Show, trustees debated holding the event on the 100 block of South Main Street versus returning it to West Park. After discussing access and space constraints, the board approved option 2 to hold the event in West Park (motion carried 5-0-1, Pratt abstained). Separately the board approved a $475 Band Fund request to support the car show (motion carried 6-0).
