Township signs off on multiple paving and line‑striping payments, notes remaining striping work

The board approved multiple public‑works payments on Aug. 3 related to the 2026 pavement maintenance program.
Officials recommended and the board approved final payment of $38,418.86 to Youngblood Paving for Contract A and $17,892.48 for Contract B after paperwork and maintenance bonds were supplied. The board also approved Payment 1 of $121,630.32 to CASMAC Line Striping for Contract C. Public works staff said the contract value is about $131,000 for one contractor and approximately $16,000 of work remains; striping remains to be completed on McConnell and Burnside Roads.
"We would recommend final payment, all maintenance bonds, everything's been supplied, all the paperwork required to close the contract out," staff said during the meeting. Motions were moved, seconded and carried on voice votes.
