The Burke Town Board convened a regular meeting on Feb. 11, 2025, at the Burke Town Court House. Supervisor Bill Wood opened the session; council members Tim Crippen, Jim Otis, Paddy Wheeler and Eric Ashlaw were present, with Larry LaPlante listed as absent. The board approved multiple administrative contracts and accepted a resignation from the finance officer.
On the business agenda the board voted to approve a contract with BOCES for monthly financial assistance and annual filing of the town financial report (motion by Tim Crippen, seconded by Eric Ashlaw; roll call: Tim Aye, Jim Aye, Paddy Abstain, Eric Aye, Bill Aye). The board also approved an engineering agreement with Barton & Loguidice for a preliminary report on the Thayers Corner Water District and accepted a Third Party Collateral Agreement on unanimous votes. The town noted an ARPA unspent balance of approximately $15,984 and that the ARPA report is due by March 31, 2025.
