Highway department reports training progress, staffing vacancies and summer hires

Brandon Hytinen reported the Highway Department's training and staffing status. MSHA training is complete for all but five employees, who are registered to complete it online, and three employees will attend competent person excavation training with costs covered by the county’s insurance company. A terminated employee filed for unemployment and had a denial that was appealed; Hytinen also reported eight LTEs hired for summer employment, the same number as last year.
