Mr. Stacy reviewed the upcoming policy list and the board considered two specific policies as first reads: 5131.601/4118.236/4218.236 (Medical (Palliative) Use of Marijuana) and 5141.25 (Students with Special Healthcare Needs). "These policies noted above were presented as a first read and will be up for further review and potential board approval at the next BOE meeting," the minutes state. The items were not acted on and will return for additional review.
Board members did not take final action; the first-read status gives staff time to bring revisions or clarifications before a formal vote. The items remain on the board's policy priority list.
