Oconto County to resubmit ARIP application, schedule bridge pre‑construction and address washouts after heavy rain

Brandon Hytinen updated the committee on ongoing and planned roadwork. He said the ARIP application for a segment of CTH‑J was not chosen in the first round and that he will resubmit with a letter of support from the Town of Oconto. Hytinen also reported plans to schedule a pre‑construction meeting for the CTH‑CC bridge in Oconto Falls, set a date to rank consultants for the CTH‑R project, continue mastic work on four lanes, and perform grading, brush cutting, litter pickup and snow fence removal.
Hytinen noted culvert repairs are underway following excessive rain; Jaworski Road in the Town of Chase remains closed. He described a washout on US‑41/141 at the CTH D/Sampson Road overpass caused by the heavy rain and said the department told WisDOT it lacks the staff time to dedicate to those repairs. A pre‑construction meeting for an STP project on CTH‑C is scheduled next week.
