A homeowner requested a sound barrier along County Trunk Highway EE and expressed concerns about speeding. Brandon Hytinen reported that only "one reportable accident [was] shown in last 10 years," and said he had asked Sheriff Skarban to place a speed board (which was currently unavailable). Hytinen told the committee the sheriff will provide additional law enforcement presence and that the department has instructed its plow driver to reduce speed during snow removal because of the home’s proximity to the roadway.
After discussing enforcement options and the limited accident history, the committee did not recommend additional county action beyond law enforcement support and the internal driving instruction. No engineering changes or funding commitments for a sound wall were approved at the meeting.
