On infrastructure, the mayor warned residents that products labeled "flushable wipes" do not break down like toilet paper and can cause clogs, pump failures and sewer backups. He noted Rolla's ordinance prohibits flushing non-toilet items and cited fines up to $500 and potential repair-cost liability, saying, "Please — do not flush wipes, paper towels, feminine products, or any non-toilet-paper items. Only flush toilet paper."
