Council approves placing "Measure #1" recreation tax levy on June 9 primary ballot

The Rolla City Council voted unanimously on March 16 to place "Rolla City Measure #1 Public Recreation System" on the June 9, 2026 primary election ballot under North Dakota Century Code 57-15-10(13). Member Counts introduced the measure during the Administrative Committee report and the council approved the motion without recorded opposition.
During the same administrative update the council directed staff to call for new bids on a 64-acre land lease (SW 21-162-69) with bids to be reviewed on April 15, 2026. The council also approved a Joint Powers Agreement with Rolette County for joint election administration and a revised lease with Rolla Community Daycare effective May 1, 2026.
