Superintendent Dr. Sachs told the board he will circulate his proposed 2026–27 superintendent goals and invited board feedback before the Aug. 17 meeting when the board may consider formal approval. He said the goals are closely aligned with the district’s newly adopted 2026–2031 strategic plan, summarized under the RISE brand.
He described priorities including “strengthening high quality instruction and student achievement, improving the support we provide to our schools and our classrooms, recruiting, developing, supporting, and retaining exceptional employees,” and said the goals were developed in collaboration with principals, teachers and community stakeholders. Dr. Sachs asked board members to review a draft that will be sent within several days and noted that approval could be delayed if additional revisions are needed after an executive-session review on Aug. 17.
