Middletown FFA officers led the board in a presentation about agricultural education, describing the three‑part model—classroom, supervised agricultural experiences (SAE) and FFA participation—and the program pathways (ag mechanics, vet science, farm power and horticulture). Officer Eva Welsh and other student members explained judging teams, travel, fundraising and the skills students gain through competitions and leadership conferences.
At the start of the meeting Middletown High principal McKinney highlighted academic gains at the high school—English language arts up 24%, math up 14% and science up 7%—and announced a $30,000 grant to refurnish the school weight room. The board recognized Roxy Holt as Middletown High staff member of the year and presented student awards from Cobb Mountain, Coyote Valley and other sites.
