The board approved two resolutions authorizing the district to apply for state-administered facility hardship and seismic mitigation funds (items labeled in the agenda as resolution "thirteen-twenty four-twenty 5" and resolution "fourteen-twenty four-twenty 5"). Staff said these steps are required to be eligible for certain Prop 2-related funding and that the district is preparing the necessary facilities master plan in-house.
Trustees asked questions about whether the District's prior Tallman Gym work might qualify for additional reimbursement and staff said the district was working with consultants to pursue all available funding avenues where the projects had eligible components.
Both resolutions were moved, seconded and passed unanimously (5-0). Staff said a more detailed bond/fund-21 status report will be presented in a future meeting.
