The Village of Shorewood voted to adopt an ordinance directing the disposal of five surplus vehicles and waived the second reading.
Public works staff told trustees all vehicles had been replaced with new units except a donated 2014 GMC van that proved too expensive to retrofit safely. The ordinance directs staff to remove the vehicles from inventory and auction them. Trustee Salford moved to approve; Trustee Babiak seconded and the motion carried on a roll call vote.
Staff noted the Peterbilt dump truck will be accepted shortly after a pre‑fill inspection and that auction proceeds would be handled per village policy.
