The New Durham Select Board and residents on Monday presented a lifesaving award to Officer Jennifer, recognized in the meeting as Officer Jennifer Leclair, after she administered CPR and stabilized a resident who had suffered a cardiac emergency.
A town official introduced the officer, saying the response came within about two minutes and credited her training and quick action. "Her heroic actions and quick response and training experience... she administered life saving measures, conducted CPR on her and successfully saved this woman's life," the presenter said. The board presented a certificate dated 04/28/2026 acknowledging the officer's immediate attention during the medical emergency.
Residents offered thanks and welcomed the officer to the community during a brief ceremony. The board noted the award and encouraged department recognition procedures to proceed.
