Trustee Lisa Gutierrez reported several community outreach items: a back-to-school prep day on Aug. 10 with resource tables and free haircuts, distribution of more than 600 book bags, and the Alive Center tutoring program restarting Aug. 20 for grades 5–12 with volunteer needs.
"We have over 600 book bags to give away, possibly more, and supplies a 100% free," Gutierrez said, and she encouraged trustees and residents to volunteer for the Alive Center tutoring and clothing-closet efforts. She credited public works staff for organizing supplies and urged residents to take advantage of township and school-district programs.
