Committee members reviewed the draft regional coordination chapter required by the state and discussed how best to present partner organizations and priorities.
Members suggested adding partners (Island Housing Trust, Coastal Enterprises Institute/CEI, Great Harbor Maritime Museum and library archives) and including a short top-priority list at the beginning of the chapter so readers see which topics the town will emphasize. One member suggested adding the word "safe" to the housing paragraph so goals read "safe, stable and affordable." Staff said the chapter is meant to document existing relationships and that the committee can pull key findings from the data section into the policy front matter for clarity.
The committee also discussed how to integrate regional partners into topic-specific sections (for example, listing housing partners inside the housing chapter) and whether to add offshore islands and other local entities to reflect shared services and interdependence. Staff said they will collect corrections, spelling fixes and additions and circulate a cleaned-up draft.
