Clerk outlines plan to clear old Town Hall, sell building and add employee parking

Town Clerk Erica Hayes told the board that she and another staff member have been working on Thursdays to clear out the old Town Hall on Mitchell Street; once cleared, the Highway Department will dispose of the contents and the town will list the property for sale. Hayes said that project completion should be within about two weeks.
Hayes also said she is pursuing installation of an employee parking lot on the side of the building facing the Moose Lodge and asked Highway Superintendent Michael Cole to have his department install the parking lot and a footpath to the building’s rear. She is also gathering quotes for a new Town Hall sign; the parking and sign work is projected for late July to early August.
