Public Works presented a settlement agreement from the eminent domain process for the bridge reconstruction project and asked the board to approve a payment of $76,500 to the Provence family for acquisition of a dedication and temporary construction easement. Director Noriega said the village's STP bridge grant covers a maximum reimbursement of $80,000 for land acquisition and that approximately 99% of the $76,500 will be covered by the grant.
Trustees moved and approved the resolution authorizing the payment. Noriega noted the village still has a balance of grant reimbursement to reconcile but recommended approving the settlement to clear property interests needed for the reconstruction work.
