Summary

Human Resources presented an updated personnel manual that replaces the 2019 edition and incorporates federal and state law changes on sick leave, family leave and paid-time-off structure. HR noted the revisions were intended to bring the manual into compliance and to clarify workplace expectations such as business-casual guidance.
The update was reviewed with involvement from department heads and the village’s labor attorney, Adam Durkin. HR said the changes are largely administrative and "pretty benign" and recommended trustees approve the manual for staff rollout. Trustee Selfridge moved and Trustee Babiak seconded the motion; the board approved the updated manual and staff will distribute it to employees for review and signature.
