San Felipe‑Del Rio CISD board approves personnel report, including six new hires

Following a closed session covering personnel and attorney consultation, the San Felipe‑Del Rio CISD Board of Trustees voted to approve the personnel report presented by administration, which included new hires and other staffing changes.
"It is the recommendation of administration that the Board of Trustees approve the resignations, retirements, and vacancies as discussed in closed session and the following new personnel," Amy Childress said before reading the list of hires: Juan Jimenez (music teacher, Seneca Hills Elementary), Gabriela Navarro (2nd grade, Dr. Fermin Calderon Elementary), Melissa Cervantes El Fado (1st grade, Dr. Fermin Calderon Elementary), Kayla Auerz (special education co-teacher, Del Rio Middle School), Joanne Boonrostro (mathematics teacher, San Felipe Memorial Middle School) and Josephine Ortiz (special education co-teacher, Del Rio Freshman). The board approved the personnel report unanimously.
