The San Felipe‑Del Rio CISD Board of Trustees unanimously authorized the superintendent to sign a memorandum of understanding with the City of Del Rio allowing city equipment and staff to sweep campus parking lots. Administration said the MOU was drafted by the city attorney and would address debris and raveling asphalt on campus lots.
"Due to normal wear and tear on our campus parking lots, there's debris such as raveling of the asphalt, mud, dirt and so forth on various parking lots," Hector Chapo told the board when introducing the item and asking the board to authorize the superintendent to sign the MOU. The board moved (first by Mr. Almeda, second by Ms. Webb) and voted unanimously to approve the recommendation.
