Deputy Clerk Doug McMullin told the council he attended the county planning and zoning meeting on Nov. 18 and obtained approval for engine-brake restriction signs on 200 West, north and south of town limits. McMullin said the town is responsible for paying about $130 per sign for installation.
He also said placing an additional sign on State Route 117 would require a town ordinance and an enforcement agreement with the County Sheriff’s Office. The council did not adopt an ordinance at the Dec. 2 meeting and tasked staff with next steps if they choose to pursue the State Route 117 sign.
