Members also questioned items that could produce large requirements in practice, including a table that ties stalls to seats for venues (which could mean dozens of bike stalls for theaters) and a proposed standard to provide a power source for every 10 long‑term bike stalls to support e‑bike charging. Staff said the bicycle standards were benchmarked from several cities and that further calibration and editorial edits would help ensure the standards fit North Bend’s scale.
Staff agreed to revisit exemptions language, clarify the distinction between short‑ and long‑term parking, and provide practical examples for commissioners at the next review.
