Highway Superintendent Mike Cole told the Town Board on March 3, 2026 that his department needs a plow truck chassis, a plow box and a pickup truck, and that he provided quotes for the board's review. The board unanimously agreed to table decisions on those procurements until a full board can vote.
Cole also said he is working with the County to submit a grant application in May for a salt-shed: a 75/25 grant requesting $585,000 to build a 70-foot by 140-foot coverall with concrete sides. The request was described as a cooperative effort with the County; no award or further commitments were recorded in the minutes.
Cole additionally shared a resident's letter thanking the Highway Department and specifically Bill Murphy for winter work. The board did not take immediate procurement action at the March 3 meeting.
