Sadie (student) presented a rundown of her school's year: TK and kindergarten activities, field trips to Big Bear Zoo and Mojave Narrows, the 25th annual Worm Race, and the house/school competitions. "We had our 2nd annual Amazing Shake competition," she said, naming winners and describing student participation in skits, garden work and performances. The board and administrators praised students and thanked families and staff for the events and volunteer support.
Abigail Klinger, the middle-school ASB president, delivered a prerecorded summary of leadership activities: a pep rally, a leadership conference with seven officers, a club fair and teacher-appreciation week. Staff also described the Amazing Shake program in detail: five judged stations, mock interviews, job-application exercises and scenarios to build workplace skills; Mason Leater was announced as the Amazing Shake winner. Several trustees encouraged moving the event earlier in the school year so students can participate with a lighter end-of-year calendar.
