The Select Board discussed a new cemetery mapping system and agreed informational signage with QR codes will be installed at town cemeteries. The mapping product, which the clerk said cost approximately $1,500–$1,600, lets users search burial locations and provides walking paths; municipal maintenance and the cemetery commissioners provided the information and a demonstration.
The board also established dates for the 2026 fall town meeting: the warrant opens Sept. 3, 2026; the deadline for submission of town meeting articles is Sept. 14, 2026 at noon; and town meeting is scheduled for Oct. 26, 2026 at 7:00 p.m. in the Wareham High School auditorium. The clerk read the formal statutory notice for posting per town bylaws.
