Select Board honors Turning Point for 25 years of homeless support

The Select Board read a certificate of appreciation Aug. 4 honoring the Wareham Area Committee for the Homeless (WACH), also known as Turning Point, recognizing its work since 2001 connecting residents to federal, state and local resources and coordinating holiday support that served 220 families and 517 children.
Chuck McCullough, president of WACH, accepted the honor and thanked volunteers, municipal departments and partner organizations including Damien's Food Pantry, the Salvation Army, Eversource and Father Bill's. McCullough said Turning Point focuses on serving Wareham residents and emphasized the work is a community‑wide effort.
