The O'Brien County Board of Supervisors met Nov. 18 and, acting as a Board of Canvassers, canvassed second-tier results from the Nov. 4, 2025 elections and declared the following winners in jurisdictions where the county served as the control county: Sheldon Mayor Greg Geels; Sheldon Council at Large Jeff Wagner; Hartley‑Melvin‑Sanborn School Director District 2 Becky Stoltz, District 3 Erin Van Roekel, and District 5 Andy Schierholz; Sheldon School Directors at large Trevor Gottula and Tyler Youngers; South O’Brien School Directors Sue McCauley (District 1), Jamie Negus (District 3) and Kody Nelson (District 6).
The minutes record the Board performed the canvass as part of the Nov. 18 meeting and formally declared the listed candidates elected. The document does not record any dissent or roll-call votes on the canvass itself. County Auditor Rhea Schmalen attested the minutes and Chair Barbara Rohwer presided over the session.
