Town Administrator Cathy Ainsworth told the board she had submitted a paving grant and a separate grant for a North Road culvert replacement. The Selectboard reviewed and revised the draft paving bid document and agreed to post it before Ainsworth's vacation; bids are scheduled to be opened on May 11.
The minutes note that the exact length of Chester A. Arthur Road to be paved will be determined after the grant decision, expected by the end of May. Separately, the board asked Ainsworth to follow up on a letter sent to the Secretary of Transportation requesting the Chester A. Arthur bridge be prioritized in the state's capital plan and to check whether the bridge has been included or prioritized in the state capital budget.
