The Donald City Council reviewed its city manager recruitment schedule at a July 6 work session, with MWVCOG contract recruitment staff briefing councilors on posting and application deadlines. The council was told the job announcement and documents will be posted on July 15 after the council approves final documents at its July 14 meeting.
Eileen Stein and McRae Carmichael, MWVCOG contract city manager recruitment staff, outlined the timeline and screening approach and said interviews could be conducted in executive session if the council votes to notice one. The council asked MWVCOG to flag top candidates and said it wants to see all applications. An August 7 deadline for submission of applications was mentioned, with the council gathering on August 17 to consider the applications.
Interim City Manager Alonso Limones facilitated the introduction of MWVCOG staff and administrative steps. A procedural motion to adjourn the work session was made by Councilor Michael Coffman and seconded by Councilor Abby Hungate; Council President Jan Olsen adjourned the meeting at 7:47 p.m.
